Solvern Innovations research and development (R&D) program is designed to find ways to solve the nation's most complex problems through better or new uses of technology. For example, Solvern Innovations is a supporter to monthly speaking series bringing distinguished speakers from industry and academia to give presentations to Solvern Innovations staff who maybe in need of a solution.

While working on mission critical issues of national importance, Solvern Innovations develops many new, innovative technologies. Solvern Innovations partnership with the University of Maryland was established to help put these technologies into the hands of commercial companies and the federal government as cost effective products.
