Information Assurance/Security Engineer
As a member of Solvern Innovations, you will have the opportunity to provide certification testing, security engineering, and security policy support for DCID 6/3 and for systems being developed under DCID 6/3. Applicant will identify and demonstrate the vulnerabilities of networks and networked systems belonging to various Government agencies, public interests and military organizations.
Applicant will assess the configuration of networked devices and operating systems and enumerate vulnerabilities to network attack. Position includes the development of tools and techniques required to demonstrate attacks and vulnerabilities to wireless networks, networked devices and controls systems. In this role, you will provide your expertise by providing security engineering support to DICAST (DoD and IC Certification and Accreditation Support Team). Responsibilities will include performing and/or observing security and vulnerability tests for the certification of systems/products under DICAST purview; providing security testing and early/initial lab assessments of products that may require DICAST certification with recommendations for improvements based on DCID 6/3 requirements; providing analysis that security requirements are being adequately validated with the test procedures; and providing reports/briefings to DICAST related to the systems and products assessed.
Specific Requirements
- Clearance Level: TS/SCI full poly
- B.S. degree preferred
- 5+ years experience as a System Engineer with at least 3 years in Information Assurance or Network Security
- Knowledge of Unix and MS operating system security
- Knowledge of certification and accreditation procedures, processes and regulatory requirements
- Should be able to work with a team and with limited guidance
